Here may be the RAREST version of "The Early Beatles" album ever offered up for auction! Possibly Even rarer that the multitudes of pressings of their infamous "Yesterday and Today" Butcher cover! A unique freak press! This is an AUTHENTIC FACTORY ERROR USA pressing of "The Early Beatles" with an upside down front slick on the jacket. This very well could be a one of a kind! I doubt many got out like this and this one has remained SEALED! Originally released March 22nd 1965 by Capitol records ST-2309 Stereo.This is a 1970's pressing. One can only surmise the circumstances that resulted in this oddity. Was it first off the presses in this particular pressing before workers noticed the error? I don't know but you can see by the photos it was not something that was manufactured later but an authentic factory error from the 70's. There are certainly no tell tale signs that anyone has EVER removed and replaced the slick at all. This slick has certainly NEVER been removed! The record is SEALED in original factory shrinkwrap. The two factory breather holes can be noted in the shrink on front and rear covers. The jacket overall rates only EX due to slight split damage noted at bottom center seam.( Top if photo is presented upside down as pressed.) Looks like about a 2-3" split at center under shrink near George's chin. . The other seam and Binder seam are completely intact with no splits.SEE PHOTOS. . There is some light bowing in the two record opening corners. The front cover has the paste on slick with vivid colors lacking on later pressings which were printed directly on the cardboard. The rear cover is in great shape and has a number 18 in the corner. I believe this should be an apple label inside but am not entirely certain,so I can't guarantee what label is sealed here.
