The WALKER BROTHERS were super successful in Britain, led by Scott Engel's beautiful vocals.
The girls' melted at the sound.... and the sight of the three American lads, and they moved over to the UK to keep the ball rolling!
Realising the vocal talent that Scott possessed, Philips was happy to carry on releasing his solo records too, and of course taking the surname 'Walker' to maintain the fame garnered (they weren't actually brothers).
Scott loved the avant-garde French artist Jacques Brel, and sang several of his songs, including 2 tracks here. In turn, he was to influence David Bowie - who also covered both compositions.
This is the original issue of this cool debut solo album, and is in respectable playing and sounding shape.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VG++ to EXCELLENT.
Light sound mostly between tracks.
Labels are NEAR MINT-. clean and bright with a few signed of play.
The fully laminated cover with the iconic b&w photo is VG+ to EXCELLENT, having a few handling creases, general wear.
A nice original first issue!
