Description

SCOTT O'NEAL -- Cruisin' -- obscure, original 1988 U.S. album.  Despite the very odd surf-themed cover, this has nothing to do with Surf music -- instead it's a very good and apparently unknown Private Press Modern Soul-1980's Rock-Pop album with a radio-friendly Hall & Oates-type vibe on uptempo ballads like "Never Say Goodbye," "Jessica," "The Enemy" and "Thank The Rain," veering into upbeat New Wave-Dance Pop styles on the title track "Cruisin'" and "Mr. Mr."  O'Neal was apparently a local Los Angeles-area musician; there's also a spiritual/Xian angle to some of the song lyrics, but overall this is straightforward 1980's Modern Soul-Rock-Pop and good stuff, if you're into that Hall & Oates style.  A very obscure record -- I've never seen another copy.  See photo for track list.  Cover:  Near Mint-, still in shrink wrap.  Record:  Near Mint-, album was sealed until I opened it so has only been played 1-2 times; on Paradise private label, U.S. press.
