Following Home Decor, Shower, Caput, and Songs For Sex, Los Angeles-based actor, musician and photographer Danny Lane returns with another understated gem that's bathed in neon light, 80s hues and with porous edges. Holy Goodnight - first out digitally in 2022 - finds him performing across synths, keyboards, bass, guitar, percussion, vocals, and field recordings and painting a late-night portrait that fuses city pop, jazz, vaporwave, slow funk, ambient and chill-out. It's a perfectly warming nocturnal drive that's intimate, fluid and softly psychedelic, all with a DIT aesthetic and relaxed but detailed finish.
