  ~ ORIGINAL FIRST PRESS ... UK ONLY ... LOST ACID PROG/PSYCH                               ..
                                                                                UK - ILLUMINATRED - Jams 29

Final Collection Copy

Original pressing - DOUBLE LP - British only limited release from quite a long while ago, hard to find especially in MINT condition as this ...

Previously unreleased HAWKWIND rarities from the turn of 1970

The exact source of these recordings is a mystery; like some ancient space debris found floating in the cosmos; nobody is quite sure how they came to be. The best assumption is that they were somehow gleaned from Hawkwind member Nik Turner who handed over to bassist Dave Anderson who had the recordings pressed as a limited edition. Pretty hard to find the original UK-only released vinyl, it's now something like 35 years of age and not getting any easier to find!

Though not up to BBC's stand quality control, is still certainly very good and completely unavailable anywhere else. Think part two of SPACE RITUAL

The TEXT OF FESTIVAL really shows Hawkwind at their peak era. Essentially the album is in two parts; the first six tracks coming from their first ever BBC sessions recorded between 1970 and 1971. The second half comprises of part of a recorded gig at Colchester Technical College England in February 1972 which is where the part two of Space Ritual comes in, complete with the distortion bass of the ever dynamic Lemmy Kilmister, who kicks the whole proceedings up a notch (or ten fold...)
