Description
Beautiful condition copy of this 1963 release on Columbia Records (SAX 2473 & SAX 2474) 2 record set with the original Turquoise and Silver label design. Otto Klemperer conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus in a (legendary) performance of Mahler's Symphony No 2 in C minor - "Resurrection" with Elizabeth Schwarzkopf (soprano) and Hilde Rossl-Majdan (mezzo soprano)
Condition is Near Mint. The sleeves are both clean and glossy with no tears, creases or seam splits. Both spines are immaculate.
The playing surfaces are visually in near mint condition with no obvious scratches, scuffs or abrasions. Playback is very quiet with only a very low level of surface noise and no major pops, clicks or crackles and no jumps or skips. Side 2 has a couple of faint hairline scratches which produce a few minor ticks at the start but this is the only blemish on an otherwise excellent set.
