Description

ORIGINAL 1959 Pressing, on the COLUMBIA Blue and Silver Label.
Leonid KOGAN plays Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61

This rare stereo pressing is in EXCELLENT condition.

SLEEVE CONDITION
The sleeve is flat and in EXCELLENT condition with very little wear, the only damage is a small amount of rubbing on the top corners and a couple of small creases in the laminate and a little rubbing on the spine.  The spine is straight and all the written information is easily readable, without any fading.
The rear is slightly discoloured, but has no writing or major defects.

LABEL CONDITION
The original BLUE & SILVER label is in near mint condition, there are no signs of spindle marks and no writing or mark or imperfections.

RECORD CONDITION
The record is in visually excellent condition.
Side A has a few finger marks and paper scuffs, but no scratches.
Side B has a similar number of paper scuffs, but less finger marks.

PLAY TESTING
This reveals some static at the beginning of each side.  Upon second-listening, this decreased, which indicated that the record may benefit from a record cleaning.
This, I will leave up to the buyer, as I do have a record-cleaning machine; but owing to the rarity of the record, I will allow the buyer to chose whether or not they want to undertake this, as the record is perfectly playable and there are not skips or jumps.  As is usual, the slight static decreases as the record is played.

This record has clearly been taken care of by it's previous owner.
