MEGA RARE Original 1968 Unboxed Decca UK Stereo 1st Pressing 'Getting To The Point' by Savoy Brown!!! Mega Rare -1//-1 Matrix & Blue/Silver 'ffss' Unboxed Decca 1st Press Labels!!! Rare UK 1st Pressing with 'Pleated Spine' Front Laminated Clout & Baker 1st Press Sleeve and Original Blue Bordered Inner Sleeve!!! In Unbelievable Nr Mint Vinyl Condition!!!
From my own pristine collection of rare 1960's & 70's Prog/Psych/Rock & Folk, you are bidding on the mega-scarce and sought after 'Getting to the Point' the second album from Savoy Brown. However what makes this example so rare is that it is the true UK Stereo 1st pressing, on the original ffss 'Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound' dark blue and silver Unboxed Decca labels. This is much more difficult to find as a true unboxed Stereo pressing than it is the red unboxed Mono (I currently have 4 copies album of this on red unboxed labels and just this one on blue unboxed labels!) Importantly this copy has the correct -1//-1 1st press matrix identifying it as the very first stereo pressing straight from the master. What's more it is complete with its correct Clout & Baker 1st press front-only laminated sleeve and correct blue bordered (stereo) Decca Inner sleeve!!! Not only that but this record is in sensational condition, most copies I have seen for sale over the past few years have been absolutely trashed and are full of scratches and very nasty looking. Not this one - not only is it the rarer unboxed stereo pressing but it is also in impossible Nr Mint vinyl condition - this record is flawless with no blemished to the playing surfaces at all - not even a hairline - Stunning!!! This is the most beautiful example of this very rare record on the much rarer 1st press blue Stereo Un-boxed Decca labels I have ever owned or seen; and being the earliest 1st press it is straight from the master!!! The UK 1st pressing is extremely hard to find today as a Decca unboxed stereo 1st press and only very rarely shows up - and never in Nr Mint condition like this - don't miss it!

Not only is this the rarest pressing you will find of this amazing record - it is also in Nr Mint condition!!! The first thing you notice about this record is its incredible thickness and weight (it is super heavy!), this is not a flimsy 1970's repress - it is the real deal!!! This 1st press vinyl is in superb condition, it is really is a beautiful looking record and retains all of its deep mirror-like lustre and shine and has NO groove-wear!! The cool stereo unboxed silver/dark blue Decca centre labels are stunning! Nice and clean with no scuffs, tears, blemishes and no unwanted writing/ scribbles. There is just some very faint evidence of spindle lines around the spindle hole, which can only be seen when angling the disc toward a window and that's it!! What can I say about the vinyl that I have not already said? It is stone cold mint- with NO Scratches, No scuffing, NO Hairlines NO Bagrash, NO blemishes of any kind at all! Nothing - It is absolutely perfect!!! This disc looks like it came off the master press this morning!!! It has all the deep shine a newly pressed record that as only ever been played once or at the most twice before!!! Impossible for a UK stereo 1st pressing of this album!!! The record still retains ALL of its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! I am very pleased to state that this is a record that also plays as good as it looks!!! It it has NO jumps, NO skips, NO between track crackle and NO nasty loud pops!!! The thick quality pressed chunky 1960's vinyl looks and feels great (it is super heavy and thick!). I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Mint-!!! Its as simple as that it does not have a single blemish to it - not even a hairline!!! It is that most elusive of things, a true Mint- UK Savoy Brown 1st pressing (suitable for the highest grade mint- collection - you will not find a better example!!)
The excellent 1st press 'pleated spine' and front laminated Clout & Baker sleeve is in superb condition with NO nasty Seam Wear and NO Scribbles/Writing, marks or blemishes anywhere. There is NO seam wear at all and the opening edge is Razor Sharp with NO feathering at all! The spine is Nr Mint with Mint legible spine text and the corners are all razor sharp save for the bottom left corner which has just the minimum lightest of wear. The thick laminate is in STUNNING condition!!! There is NO discolouration and the colours are bright and vibrant!!! Importantly there is absolutely NO laminate cracking or peeling anywhere!!! It has virtually NONE of the grubbyness and discolouration common on the white un-laminated reverse side. There are just some small laminate creases coming out from the edges and a very thin strip of laminate lifting along the spine. This is virtually unavoidable with this sleeve and has been present on every other copy I have ever seen and owned. All in all superb example of this very cool sleeve that easily grades as Excellent- at the very least!!! It comes complete with original blue bordered 'stereo' Decca inner sleeve which is superb with NO seam wear or splitting, NO unwanted writing/ scribbles and which lies perfectly flat with NO creasing - a stunning example!!! It is easily in Excellent+ condition!!! This record will come shipped in a replacement inner sleeve with the above original blue bordered Decca inner safely tucked inside the jacket to avoid stress to it during transit.
A massively rare UK 1st pressing indeed - especially in this condition!!! This is one of those LP's with a seriously underestimated rarity value!!! You just never see this record anymore in the UK, and on the rare occasions they turn up it is NEVER in Nr Mint condition like this one!!! A great album and a sound investment for the future! Don't Miss!
Like the vast majority of my collection, this record has been archived in a smoke & damp free environment for the best part of 20-30 years!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
