Description

On auction is an album released in 1972, and was the only album to be released by the band in question. It was released on the PHILIPS (BLACK/SILVER) label and is very hard to get hold of . The band is called SAMMY, which featured various members from UK bands GINHOUSE and AUDIENCE. It also featured, most notably, MICK UNDERWOOD who is known for playing in EPISODE SIX and later for QUATERMASS with JOHN GUSTAFSON. Very little is known about the band as there was very little airplay of the album and of their catchy single SIOUX-EYED LADY despite it being a top-50 single. The band soon quickly disbanded and Mick later turned to session work before he was hired in the post-punk rock band STRAPPS.

The style of Sammy is Progressive Rock, with a guitar-sax combo, making for an interesting sound.  A very rare & unusual album, it is a must for collectors of rare albums from the 70s.

CONDITION OF VINYL - EX - Reasonable condition. Shiny, with no sign of scratches or marks on both sides. Audio playback is reasonable. Some sign of playback, light grainy sound but still clear. Very good for it's age.

CONDITION OF SLEEVE. EX - Again reasonable, clean with laminate intact. Corners do have some signs of wear. Back shows little sign of wear at the top nothing too serious. Very light shelf wear. Spine looks clean and damage free. Overall in excellent condition.
