NM cover, M disc.  Original 2nd pressing, Plan 9/Caroline label, red vinyl, only 500 pressed.

READ THIS:  Unfortunately the cover is from a 3rd pressing black vinyl LP rather than a 2nd pressing red vinyl LP.  Years ago I switched covers keeping the better condition cover so somewhere out there is a 3rd pressing black vinyl disc with a 2nd pressing cover.  The only difference is that the 3rd pressing cover has the Caroline Records address on the back while the 2nd pressing cover does not.

The only reason I didn’t grade this cover NM+ is because I didn’t buy this record brand new myself.  This record looks like it’s been stored in a sleeve ever since the shrink wrap was removed so there’s no wear on the face of the front or back cover.  There’s a small dent on the top edge of the cover (right above the N in Samhain) as well as two teeny tiny bend marks along the spine.  The kind of dent or bend marks that would be perfectly normal to find on a new record.  The back cover has a few white specks near the bottom of the cover (you can see them in the photo) but they are from the printing process and I imagine all the copies have these white specks.

GRADING

M = Mint.  This grading is only supposed to be used for records that look new and perfect.

NM+ = Near Mint Plus.  New records that didn’t come out of the factory or record store looking perfect but they still look new and show no wear from actual use.   

NM = Near Mint.  Mostly mint but a tiny bit of cover wear or no wear but very minor bending on the cover.  The record’s sound quality is probably as good as a mint record but you will have the kind of light scuffing or fine scratches that can only be seen when viewed under bright light.   

EX = Excellent or VG++.

VG+ = Very Good Plus. Obvious fine scratches or scuffing on the disc but they have little or no effect on sound quality.  Obvious wear on the cover but overall serious collectors would still consider this to be a desirable record cover and disc.

VG = Very Good.  Still plays fine and looks good enough for the average person but maybe not good enough for a picky collector.

All records are graded in sunlight so I can get a good look.  For any disc less than NM, I will put it on a turntable and give it a listen to make sure it plays clean.  

I’m a strict grader but not insanely strict.  I’m not one of those that believes there’s no such thing as a mint record or that any new record that’s been looked at to verify its condition or played once is no longer mint because it got dust on the record when I touched it and when the record was pushed back into the sleeve the dust supposedly scratched the record. 

When in doubt, use the photos to judge the condition and always feel free to ask me questions.

All USA packages will be sent via USPS Media Mail.  All international packages will be sent via USPS First Class Mail International.

No returns.  But I will do everything in my power to let you know exactly what you are ordering in advance so as to avoid any unwanted surprises.

Sorry I can’t give you cheaper postage rates but I am not a seller who buys mailers in mass quantities and ships a hundred packages every month.  So I don’t qualify for any discounts myself.  Also I don't own a laser printer or special printer that enables me to use ebay's postal tools that allow for slightly cheaper postage rates.

Records will always be packed in a manner that pays extra attention to record cover corners and record sleeves, the two most vulnerable areas.  I will use 13” mailers to ship 12” records and 12.5” mailers to ship 7” records.  I’ll use 13” pads for LPs, 12.5” pads for 7” records and even bubble wrap if necessary.  If an LP or 7” comes with a picture sleeve, I will always remove the disc and mail it separately in a plain white sleeve to prevent the record from either pressing into the picture sleeve or slicing through the sleeve seam.  Your record will never arrive damaged because I failed to pack it properly.
