Roy Ayers on Atlantic 1488, Inscribed
This is the original mono pressing of Roy Ayers “Virgo Vibes” on the red and purple labels of Atlantic 1488. The record is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated cover is also in excellent condition – clean and bright throughout; the front has an extraordinary inscription by Ayers: “To Winnie Poo -oo-oo-oo-oo- Dear Nigger! (smile) I hope this album does something to you to help you get your-self together (cook-wise). If nothing else maybe you can cook meals on time for people who are always on time. Take it from one who knows. “A tardy friend” Roy Ayers. P.S. Don’t show this to any of your good friends please.” Illustrated inner sleeve is included.
