Rosco Gordon - "The Chicken" b/w "Love For You Baby" on Flip. The vinyl is VG+. It played well on our Magnavox console. Labels are beautiful! You may have seen Rosco Gordon in, "Rock, Baby, Rock" on stage playing "The Chicken" with a live chicken standing on his piano. This can only be compared with Elvis singing "Hound Dog" to a real hound dog on the Steve Allen Show. In 1955, Sam Phillips of Sun Records signed Rosco for three years after his contract with Duke Records came to term. It is very difficult to find recordings on the Flip label. Rosco released this record on Sun in 1955, as well as, on their short-lived Flip records subsidiary. It had the same record # with BOTH labels: #235. A copy in VG- condition sold for $51. Our copy is much nicer. I'm starting the bidding at only $78.95. Items can be returned if not satisfied. All records must be carefully packaged.
