Description
Here for auction is an original UK First Editon of ALP 1548-9.Rosalyn Tureck playing "The Goldberg Variations".
Matrices are Side 1. 2XEA 1315 - 1N stamper 1G Side 2. 2XEA 1316 - 2N stamper 1G Side 3 2XEA 1317 - 1N stamper 1G Side 4 2XEA 1318 - 3N stamper 1G The 1G stampers are always the earliest EMI pressings......The sleeves are both the fully laminated thin card type.The picture of Miss Tureck on the sleeve is a photo of a sulpture made by Jacob Epstein.
Vinyl is in fine EX+ condition.The disc is virtually free of marks,even when viewed in strong sunlight.Just one or two tiny pressing blemishes......It does seem almost unplayed........It lies totally flat on the turntable and sounds excellent with virtually no crackle and zero distortion.I played selections from various parts of the records to test, and all was fine.I did find 18 soft tics near the start of side 2 but could not see any marks at all,so this must be in the pressing.......Fine condition vinyl....Satisfaction guaranteed
Cover/sleeve is in EX+ conditon.Still beautifully crisp/clean....Sharp corner's and fine spine, with back cover's flipback edges totally undamaged.Just a small tear on one of the front edges (seen in photo)...A very nice example./////.Label's EX+.Could only see a few very minor spindle marks when viewed closely.
Comes with original inner sleeves in excellent condition.
