Description
This is an original first pressing of I’ll Never Be The Same by Ron Williams on the RMR Productions Inc. label, catalog number RMR-8301.
An increasingly hard-to-find independent LDS pop/rock release from 1983, this album represents the era when regional religious artists were embracing the polished “Album Oriented Rock” (AOR) and contemporary pop production styles that were dominating FM radio at the time. Records like this have developed a growing collector following among fans of obscure private-press vinyl, Christian contemporary music, mellow AOR, and independent 1980s pop/rock releases.
This copy remains factory sealed in the original shrink wrap and is presumed Mint. The jacket is in excellent condition overall, showing only light shelf wear from careful long-term storage. The original pricing and promotional stickers remain attached to the shrink, including the wonderful period hype sticker proclaiming:
“The LDS Pop/Rock Music You Have Been Waiting For!”
That original sticker gives the album tremendous period charm and collector appeal, especially since many surviving copies no longer retain the original promotional materials.
The album was released on the small RMR Productions Inc. label and appears to have had relatively limited regional distribution, making sealed surviving examples particularly scarce today. In recent years, obscure independent releases like this have also attracted attention from overseas collectors, especially Japanese AOR and “light mellow” vinyl enthusiasts searching for overlooked American private-press recordings from the late analog era.
