Description

I stumbled upon this album during a recent search through an old Dj collection. After I spent hours flipping through LPs , I chose this one and several others just because of the "old school" covers... had no idea that this one was such a gem till i did a little research ....  Turns out that Ron B only made only one single ..    and rumor has it that out of the 1000 said to be originally pressed, many were apparently lost in a fire... not sure if that's the whole story.. but this one is legendarily rare and it's on nearly every old school hip hop collector's wanted list.

Ron B and the Step 2 Crew - STITCH BY STITCH

Record Label- Asiatic records Burlison, Ellenville New York -  Serial No - ASIATIC 102

SIDE A -

Stitch By Stitch

Stitch by Stitch (Dub)

SIDE B

Live Entertainer

Live Entertainer (Dub)

Produced by The Hit Masters, Kenny Collins, and Mel Bolden  1990

The LP is in NM++ condition and Ive only taken it out of the sleeve three times.... once to check to see if it plays ok.. and two other times to check the visual condition- sounds and looks perfect.  there are NO scratches marks or identifiable blemishes that I can see on the wax.

The cover is still in the shrink wrap, but has been opened...only one small almost invisible crease (only visible under direct light) not faded at all, except for Ron B's hi-top fade.

Attention Bidders-  I am revising the condition of this record to EX- because i dont want any un-satisfied buyers and i decided to look at the record (though it looks pristine) under a bright light.    Two things here which cause me to take it down to EX-

1)   a few nearly invisible lines on Side A probably caused by a flake of dust in the jacket... i only saw these when i held the record under a lamp and squinted ..... sorry i didnt notice before... they DO NOT affect the sound

2)  three pops during the flute intro of each song on side 1 --- is this the way the records were pressed?  I dont see ANYTHING that could be making this sound...im a serious record collector and i know we're all searching for pristine perfection, but with something like this.. well... i'll let you decide.. but just so we dont have any dissapointments.. I have posted the first half of each song on youtube so that you can hear.... as you'll notice.. the rest of the song is perfect... just those pops at the beginning which i am suspecting are due to the pressing.    99% of this record sounds better than a CD and plays clean...     please email me if you have problems with this new grading and I'll cancel your bid.
