Description

Rolling Stones-"Hot Rocks", a 2 LP set, London 2PS 606/7, released in 1971. One of the rarest Rolling Stones LP's in existence, this is the very scarce "Shelly" pressing with the alternate versions of "Brown Sugar" and "Wild Horses" unavailable anywhere else. Date in the dead wax on side 4 is 11-18-71. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in VG to VG+ condition, with each side having a few light marks. Side 4 has a scuff mark that I spotchecked and it caused no problem with play on my stereo. While I was checking that out I did confirm that these are indeed the alternate mixes. Cover is in VG condition, with general age/ring wear; there is also a partial split inside the gatefold, and two 1" seam splits at the top of each LP pocket. However, the cover, while not bad, is easily replaced. Not so for the LP's. As word of these mixes circulated among Stones collectors, the scarcity of this LP only increased. A NM copy now books for $1000.00 in Goldmine. Includes the original London inner sleeves, in VG condition, each with a split at the bottom. Classic LP's, in a mega-rare format, and a must for the serious Rolling Stones collection.
