DESCRIPTION: Rolling Stones- Their Satanic Majesties request. 1st Uk MONO pressing with front and back laminated gatefold cover with 3D image. Unboxed grooved light blue decca labels with matrix ending P1/1P and red/white inner. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Decca TXL103 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1967 original. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: U.K CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): F (PLEASE READ ON!)/VG+. Vinyl is pretty clean with a decent sheen and a few light surface lines. Played this in its entirety today on my Pro-ject deck. It sits flat on turntable. Generally plays plays a very decent VG, quite clean, clear and loud. However there is a vertical surface line right at the end of side 2s " 2000 Light years from home". This causes the music to skip for around 4 consecutive revolutions then it rights itself. Hence low vinyl grade. This was my own copy for many years and I have come across a fair few other copies. I always put up with the scratch mentioned previously as the rest of the Lp sounds nice and clean. Recently upgraded. Gatefold cover is in nice shape, it is firm and square and has only light to moderate edgewear, cornerwear and light creasing. Inside of gatefold cover is excellent. Original delicate red inner is intact but split right down one side and has a split in the other 2 edges. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
