Description: 12" vinyl release LP by The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers. Zip cover in full working order!! Matrices A4/B4. With insert. Record label and cat number : Rolling Stones COC 59100 Country of release: Uncertain but probably UK- country of manufacture not stated on disc- "All rights etc" text printed in English, looks like UK matrices and white inner bag. Insert printed in Germany. The cover, interestingly, opens like a gatefold cover and always has- there is no glue residue on the inside of the cover so Im assuming it was, unlike all the other copies Ive had of this, supposed to open to reveal the andy warhol print. If you know more about this let me know and ill add it to the listing. Year of Release: 1971 Vinyl/Cover condition: VG+/EX. Vinyl is very clean and has only one light surface line worthy of a mention- played today and has no audio consequence. Album sounds excellent throughout. Cover has light edge wear , corner wear and minimal creasing. Clean ledgible spine. Double sided insert in Ex condition. Nice cleandouble ridged matt labels with light spindle lines. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System as follows:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN GOOD MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. ALL OVERSEAS ORDERS (AND SOME UK ) HAVE CORNERS REINFORCED. Ive played this today in its entirety on a better deck- an Ariston RD80 Transcription. I wanted to use better equipment and provide a fuller description of the music. Id initially listened to it on a very basic deck so if you have a basic deck yourself you have no worries!!  This deck is pretty sensitive. Side 1 is excellent- "Brown Sugar" fantastic, there are 4 clicks at the beginning of "Wild Horses" but it plays through great for a relatively quiet track. Side 1 ends with "You gotta Move" and this continues side 1s near EX grading. Side 2 opens with "Bitch"- sounds great- clear, loud. There is a little background noise on the next tracks "I got the Blues" and "Sister Morphine" but the melody and Jaggers voice carry them through. The classic Lp finishes with the fantastic "Moonlight Mile"- again with light crackle in the quiter parts. Id put side 2 as a decent VG. Ive played this LP 3 times in the last week and its gotten better each time, there has been a little debris thats need cleaning from the stylus each time but its gradually clearing!!  An update on its origin- I now believe that this may have been pressed on mainland Europe (? Germany). It has some additional text on the label "A Promotone N.V Record" that is not on my other 2 more clearly UK copies. Ive also added another photo to show how clean and square the back of the cover is.
