Iconic Stones LP with Andy Warhol artwork.
Caused quite a stir back in the day!
The vinyl matrix numbers are:
Side 1 - COC-59100-A4. 3 o'clock - C, 9 o'clock - C
Side 2 - COC 59100 B4. 3 o'clock - E, 9 o'clock - 5
Both sides are etched with "T.M.L THE ROLLING STONES"
Visually the vinyl grades VG, just a few small light marks visible, no "feelable" marks or heavy scuffs.
The vinyl retains a really nice sheen, no dulling.
The labels are superb - Grade NM. No spindle skate, no grubby marks etc, just super clean and bright.
On play, both sides play EX, just the odd light tick or pop, no heavy clicks or repeating ticks etc., just some occasional very light background crackle, very minor.
A really decent listening experience.
The zipper sleeve is generally in EX condition, there is a small light mark / scuff, top left (see pic) where the original price label probably was placed. Not to obtrusive to the eye.
There is some scuffing on the very bottom edge to wards the centre, again reasonably minor. There are NO other issues - the spine is immaculate, not wear at all. Superb. The cut out section above the zip where the belt is located is unworn, unlike so many copies that crease around that area. There are no creases, tears etc. - just clean, sharp edges. The zip and surrounding cut out area is also in lovely condition, again, no splits or tears, no damage to the zip or fabric. I have not tried to pull the zip down as it could damage the surrounding card if a bit sticky (excuse the pun!).
The "Andy Warhol..This photograph may not be...etc." Fixed card "underpants" inner is in perfect condition.
The double sided printed card insert is in NM condition, there are no tears, creases, writing, stains, rub marks etc, just a very light indent made by the zip stopper - very minor. A really nice example of a very often missing or damaged essential part of the album.
Overall, this is a very very decent copy of a much sought after Stones press. Good luck!
