I sell vinyl records with complete honesty and reliability. Above all things I am a record collector and music lover. I only sell records that I would want to receive. I know well the disappointment of receiving an over-graded record that turns up two weeks late. That is not the service you will receive here, so bid with total confidence. I don’t sell a lot of records because I spend a lot of time carefully finding, grading and listing them and do not like to rush this process, as many sellers must do to be able to sell 100 records a week!


I am mostly a collector of old time music, pre-war blues and folk, so buy job-lots that often contain rare records that aren’t to my taste so to eBay they go!

I have only 20 records left to sell and these are my true gems. They came to me from a nuclear engineer who played them once to record to cassette, wrapped them outside of their sleeves and filed them away. They are, without a doubt, the most pristine records I have come across and I would hasten a guess the best in existence for most. Here we have what most be one of the most pristine example of the Stones 6th record in existence. This was the party record of the mid-60’s and as such is always battered but this very first pressing is in stunning condition throughout.

A true UK 1st pressing that is denoted by the following criteria:

·         Unboxed Decca Label with the Decca grooved rim.

·         No T2 in Matrix to indicate the true MONO mix.

·         3D Cover containing the Beatles heads.

·         Robert Stace printed Gatefold Sleeve

·         Times New Roman text to label, with no copyright symbol and LARGE Bill Wyman text

·         Track ‘Sing This All Together’ runs across one line, not two.

·         KT tax code hand etched into deadwax.

·         Red ‘Smoke’ Inner Sleeve

The mono LP of Satanic is existing in two different versions. The original master tape was mixed two times, the first one was used for mono records only and the second one was used both for mono and stereo records. The two mixes used for pressing mono records can be identified by the matrix number

The first mix that was used on mono records has the following matrix number as this record does:

ARL-8126-1P on side one and ARL-8127-P1 on side two

The second mix that was used on later mono records and on all stereo records has:

Mono: ARL-8126-T2-2K for side one and ARL-8127-T2-2K for side two

The last two digits may change from one record to another, the letter is identifying the person who cut the original Master Lacquer. The last number before the letter indicates how many times Mr K has recut a new Master Lacquer. The key indicator on Satanic is the T2. Decca used to identify a new mix by adding the code T2 and Satanic is the only LP that has been cut and pressed from two different mixes and where it is possible to confirm this through the matrix numbers. This way of working was common on 7” single records, they had T1 indicated that it was Take 1 of the title. If the producer rejected the take he would remix the track and then it became Take 2.

An LP that does not have the T2 in the full matrix numbers is a true mono mix. If the LP has the T2 code, then it is basically a stereo mix that has been folded down to one channel for mono sound. You can hear the difference in between a “non T2” true mono pressing and a T2 stereo fold down to mono pressing. Take the song “The Lantern” for example, there is a bell tolling in the beginning of the song:

A true mono record has the bell tolling three times before the music starts whereas a fold down from stereo to mono AND a real stereo LP has the bell tolling two times before the music starts.

Our record has all the above criteria, making it a very true 1st Mono pressing, which is fully complete.

Not only that, it is in pristine condition with a sleeve that looks brand new housing a vinyl that has maybe only seen 1 or 2 plays at most!

Sleeve Condition.

The 1st press iconic 3D Gimmix sleeve printed by Robert Stace is simply perfect. It looks as new! The bottom and top sides are pristine, sharp and without ANY shelf wear with only the mildest of corner wear to one corner. The spine is perfectly straight, without a single sign of any wear, rubbing or aging..

The front is beautiful, with all colours still vibrant and fresh and the 3D cover looking sublime. Holding this record is a thing of utter beauty!

The rear is as good as the rest, sharp and without a single rip, tear or smudge. Not even a sign of mild ringwear. The inside of the gatefold is again, stone mint.

All in all, a true 1st pressing in museum archive quality!

Inner Sleeve Condition.

The first press ‘smoked’ red inner sleeve is in perfect condition. There are no rips, tears or splits. There is no foxing, writing or stains and it holds the vinyl perfectly as it should with only mild creasing to mention. It is how you would expect it if you bought it today.

Label Condition.

The first press unboxed blue Decca labels are simply perfect. There are no rips, wear or writing at all.  There is no centre hole damage at all. Under a strong halogen I can see only the mildest of one or two ghost spindles. There are no names or initials.

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The record itself looks perfect on eye inspection!  It still retains its factory shine and lustre and looks as new. You really can distinguish between a Nr mint and Excellent grading, only when holding a true near mint record that just radiates perfection!  Under a strong halogen, there is barely any sign of use at all. Just the lightest of removal ghosts to be seen behind the rainbowed lustre! Not a hairline in sight! Possible played once before I reviewed it!

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounds truly amazing from start to finish!  The songs just jump off the record with no distortion, clicks, pops or skipping at all. It is an audiophiles dream on all frequencies.  I’m so used to listening to this record through slight distortion and dust crackle, but this record sounds sublime with all the dynamics of the band clearly distinguishable. You won’t hear it any better! This is most probably the most perfect copy in existence!

Records will be sent in defenda-box mailers which are strong corrugate cardboard boxes ensuring that no bending can take place. They are in essence bomb proof!

Records will be sent housed in new poly-lined inners outside of the sleeve to protect both the sleeve and original inner

I hand clean records with Clear groove and a microfiber cloth, however, if you use your own system or machine and would prefer I didn’t, then please ask.
