This early 1st UK STEREO pressing dates from initial December 1967 release on the deep-groove green Decca label: TXS. 103
Matrix numbers: ZAL-8126-T2-4K & ZAL-8127-T2-7K
The 'KT' purchase tax code is stamped into both run-outs

Housed in a genuine 1st-issue outer laminated, 'Robert Stace' printed gatefold stereo cover with 3-D front panel
This early cover variant has the spine text reading from bottom to top. Later versions have the spine text going from the top down
This copy also comes complete with its red & white 'smoke' inner-sleeve

A clean & bright set showing only a small handful of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both playing surfaces are clean and retain all of their deep-gloss factory shine, bearing only a few faint inner-sleeve removal/storage marks and a sparkling rainbow shine beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This well-looked after copy has been barely played and all tracks play cleanly & clearly with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion, or indeed any other significant or major audible faults. My playcheck at volume detected nothing more than a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks with no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A 1st-class example of this lavish cover. The front panel is clean with an unscratched 3-D panel fully showing just a hint of adhesive bleed-from manufacture around its around edges. There is a touch of bruising to the corners but no damage to the exposed outer edges.
Both panels of the striking inside of the gatefold are vibrant & unblemished
The rear panel is clean & glossy with no wrinkles, bends or scratching
There is a hint of shelfwear to the lower seam but the spine is clean & fully worded with no tears to either end
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean with a few gentle storage bends only and no writing, tears or seam splits
- Our grading is strict & conservative grading in strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
