Back in the 80's, I used to work next door to Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs in Petaluma, CA, and some of us used to hang out on our smoking breaks. When MFSL closed their doors, the guys were giving stuff away, and I got this boxed set. The Geo Disc and art book are missing, but the LPs themselves have never been played. The box has been sitting in the closet at my grandparents' house for the last 30-odd years.
A few of the red sleeves have minor wear, mostly on the corners, the worst of which is pictured. The records themselves are in pristine condition and have not been played or even taken out of the sleeves: I didn't have a record player. I'm also not a big Rolling Stones fan.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs tracked down the original master Rolling Stones tapes in both England and America. Altogether, more than 60 boxes of recording tapes were examined and auditioned, until the genuine original masters were discovered.
The first three albums ("The Rolling Stones", "12x5", and "Out Of Our Heads") were originally recorded in the mono format, while the next six albums were recorded in true stereo. "Hot Rocks" was a compilation of mono and stereo tracks that they "transferred from the original master tapes...carefully spliced together by MFSL's engineers." MFSL exclusively utilized the original (British) Decca master recording tapes, except for "12x5" and "Out Of Our Heads", which were originally recorded in America and first released by London Records.
