Description

 An original 1st mono press of No.2 on UK Decca. Matrix 2A/1A. Comes housed in a genuine mono pinched spine cover printed by Robert Stace. This is the original and infamous 'BLIND MAN' version. Check out the top right corner - this text was provided by Loog-Oldman and was considered in very bad taste. It was even discussed in Parliament it caused such a furore in '65! So this is the genuine 1st cover and 1st record. Note the Decca deep groove on the label. The Decca inner is present too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Lovely condition and has only seen lightest use - really hard to find on stones genuine '65. Take a close look at those spindle holes. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest markings per side - nothing heavy or problematic. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays clean and for genuine '65 impressively so. I've had other Stones pressings by this collector and he most certainly looked after his Elpee's...like way better than practically anyone! It's like sticking a brand new copy on...except proper full analogue chain and straight from the original masters. What this will ensure is that the listener gets to witness the absolute best possible rendition. You are certainly more than welcome to look around - but one thing I can assure you is that you'd never manage to better this copy. Practically perfect. Just clean feed all the way baby. It's like you're plugged into the front desk - the copy Decca managed is just superb. NOTHING to get in the way between your ears and some pristine audio. Just lap it up.... FINAL UPGRADE. Never heard a better NO.2 copy...
Cover (Vg+) A real pain to find in decent condition - and this example is very good...perhaps a shade better than average. The front exhibits a bit of laminate lift top lift - but otherwise pretty tidy. Do expect a bit of ageing in places on the rear - No.1 & No. 2 are so so difficult to find looking any better than this. Still tidy and the infamous Blind Man text fully legible. Slight edge wear in places. Spine is 90% intact. The cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Some ageing. No split.
