Description
For auction is a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Original Master Recordings (TM) Rolling Stones long playing record box set. Numbered 3292. The contents, as listed on the inside of the lid, are: - Artbook - The Rolling Stones LP - 12 x 5 LP - Out of Our Heads LP - Aftermath LP - Between the Buttons LP - Their Satanic Majesties Request LP - Beggars Banquet LP - Let It Bleed LP - Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! LP - Hot Rocks A/B LP - Hot Rocks C/D LP - GEO DISC "precision cartridge alignment system." The records have been played only twice for recording purposes on a Thorens turntable with a new cartridge. They are very, very close to mint conditoin (a high near mint). The artbook has facsimiles of all of the cover artwork. Including the hologram for Their Satanic Majesties Request. The plain white paper cover of the book has some light stubbing of the corners; the edges and corners of the books suffer from no more than shelf wear. The Rollings Stones, Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out, Hot Rocks discs one and two, and 12 x 5 LP covers all have writing on them in the top left corners, each an abbreviation in ballpoint pen, such as "HR-1" and "RS," in script a little less than a centimeter tall. Some of the tops of the covers near the spine have very light wear, due to the simple manufacturing process of the sleeves, as well as the tight fit of the records in the box. The box has a few light scuffs, as well as a few dusty water spots on the lid that haven't permanantly damaged the finish. The "ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDINGS" logo on each face of the box is embossed, and the Rolling Stones logo is in relief. On one of the bottom corners there is some chipping that HAS permanantly damaged the finish. This is about a centimeter in length. The felt on the bottom is in good shape, with most of the wear on the rear corners. The GEO DISC is in good shape, only used once. The hinge and latch are in good shape, too, still shining and well attached. The red lettering on the faces hasn't been scratched or scuffed. Each record has an MFSL plastic sleeve and another white card stock folding protective sleeve. The labels and spindles are also very, very close to mint. The record labels don't seem to feature original Decca label art.
