Rolling Stones Hot Rocks with Rare Alternate Versions Rolling Stones Hot Rocks 1964-1971 (London 2PS 606/7, 2LP). Original gatefold sleeve is VG++ with some corner wear and a bit of edge flaring at the right-side openings. Inner sleeves are VG++ with some minor age/storage wear. Vinyl is a strong VG+ with a few minor scuffs and signs of wear.
This LP is the rare original pressing with alternate versions of "Brown Sugar" and "Wild Horses". The date in the run-off on side four is 11-18-71 (sorry, I couldn't capture this in the photos). I have listened to both songs and they are noticeably different from the normal versions on the radio. "Brown Sugar" is mixed so that the drums and bass are almost overpowering, and the saxophone and guitar solos are missing (the sax solo is very slightly audible, but it's buried in the mix). "Wild Horses" seems to have an entirely different vocal take than the normal version, and it's missing the guitar solos.
I've had many copies of this LP over the years, and this is the only one I've ever had with the alternate versions of the songs. So I guess it's pretty rare.
