Rolling Stones Box Set Mobile Fidelity

Like new Mobile Fidelity's Box Set of "The Rolling Stones". The Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs box set was released in 1984. They were called "Original Master Recordings".  I purchased this set right when it first came available.  I took the booklet that comes with the set out of the box, looked at and read it. I did this because I had been told there were interviews with the engineers and record producers who work with the Stones. (I, as any 'Stone" fan would, wanted to know as much about them and they're records as possible.  I also took out and looked at the GeoDisc but never used it.  All records are in standard weight red album covers, inside that there is another white cover about the same weight and thickness and then inside that the record in a rice paper sleeve. So tripled wrapped so to speak.  I know this because I have seen several sets beside my own where the owner opened and played the records in their set.  None of the albums in this listing have ever been removed from the black display box. Hence none of these records have ever been played.

About the condition, there is a small crease or indentation about two thirds the way down directly below the red "R" (the R in Rolling Stones) on the outside box. The crease is 1/2" long and can only be seen at certain angles and certain light. It is not a scratch or dent. I did my best to show it in the photo.  Not very visible but I though I should mention it.

The other thing that should be mentioned is the booklet. It contains all the art work, in full size, front and back from the original albums. Covering these there is a white, front and back, cover to protect the album art inside.  As with all of these sets I have seen, and I have seen quite a few, this booklet is warped.  This is cause by the cover art of “Their Satanic Majesties Request”, which is reproduced in the original 3D form, is warped.  For some reason the plastic the 3D picture is made of and the paper it is attached to shrunk or expanded at different rates.  This caused the combination of the two pieces, paper and plastic, to warp. This warping effects the whole booklet to a certain extent. (Please look at the two photos of the booklet.) This copy, my copy, in this box set is not as bad as many I have seen. In fact far better than most.  I have put photos of that warpage in this listing as shown from the side.  The greatest distance from album, “Their Satanic Majesties Request”, cover to the page below is 1/2". The rest of the booklet is relatively flat. Again see photos.  All photos are of the actual box set in this listing.
