Description
Roger Jaffory Alias Paco Et L'Orchestre Cachunga, by Hit-Parade-Nouveautes Disques (Mme R. Roy-Larentry), 8, rue Lamartine - Fort-de-France, Martinique. Features the following songs: Face 1 - Martinique Revee (Biquine, Roger Jaffory) / Percal (Tango, D. Federico - H. Exposito); Face 2 - La Pata La Pati (Biquine, Bib Monville) / Oye Mi, Consejo (Guaguanco, Roger Jaffory). Hit Parade GR 013.
Condition - Record sleeve is VG due to the foxing on the back (yellowing in places) but the front cover is still very glossy. Record is VG+ and is clean with some small scuff marks and a miniscule scratch near the outside edge that is barely observable when held up to the light. Very nice condition overall.
This warm voice, this particular style, are those of Roger Jaffory alias Paco. This young singer-songwriter offers us here his two latest creations:
Martinique Revee - It is the sensitive praise of his native country transporting us to this earthly paradise where a bewitching woman "with fiery hair" literally bewitches us; and
Oye Mi Consejo - It is the supercharged atmosphere of the carnivals of Santiago de Cuba that look like ours and that Roger Jaffory was able to recreate for us.
