********************************* A superb Aussie pressing of this long out of print Australian only released album from cult-psych/folk legend Sixto RODRIGUEZ….a timeless classic
Those familiar with Rodriguez ( most likely his classic ‘I Wonder’ & ‘Sugar Man’ for starters ) would know of his amazing material during his brief recording career. It’s a crying shame that when he first appeared on the scene in the late 70’s that UK and US audiences didn’t warm to his ‘social issues’ style. In Australia (and a few other countries, notably South Africa) however, he achieved cult like status as we worshipped every lyric. But hey…it’s never too late. As ‘the man’ says… ."...Climb up on my music and my songs will set you free..." .
This long out of print album contains a mix from ‘Cold Fact’ ( 5 songs ), ‘Coming From Reality’ ( 3 Tracks ) plus 3 additional songs never previously released …great stuff !!
This is the first jacket I’ve seen with the promotional ‘Sugar Man’ sticker.

Vinyl : A wonderful thick piece here that weighs a healthy 150 grams which is unusual for this album. It looks great with brilliant shine both sides and tracks along superbly. No marks of any note. No pops. No skips. No background noise and the clarity here is fantastic. A wonderful warm sound of brilliant quality. Rated EX+.
Labels : Clean.
Double-sided Lyric Sheet : Some age-ing spots, otherwise clean. No creasing. Small tear at lower L/H corner. Presents very well.
Sleeve : the laminate on the front cover has lifted in parts has per the photo above however it is still intact (no splits). The yellow promotional sticker is intact as well. There is no creasing of the cardboard jacket nor is their any ring-wear, writing or splits and the corners are square. The laminated back cover presents much better ( minimal lifting ) and overall this is a pretty decent sleeve considering it is now well over 35 years old.
