Rodrigo Guitar Concerto Falla Argenta UK SXL 2091
Famous 1959 recording of Manuel de Falla’s “Nights in the Gardens of Spain”, and the Rodrigo “Guitar Concerto” with Narciso Yepes and the National Orchestra of Spain conducted by Ataulfo Argenta. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2091 stampers 2E/3E), the labels have a full frequency stereophonic sound “fatband”, ffss logo, “Original Recording…” at 10 o’clock and a groove. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with only occasional low-level surface noise. The cover has some creases on the front.
