Rockabilly Original 1958 Junior Dean and the Avalons: Chick Chick and Surrender
Rockabilly Original 1958 Junior Dean and the Avalons Chick Chick / Surrender. This is the original pressing release of this record from Spring Lake, N.C. Junior Dean was a singer without a band. My father, T.A. Barber had a rockablilly and dance band known as the Avalons. They were paired together for this 1958 recording. To the best of my knowledge, this record was never played. It has indirect scuff marks from the corrugated cardboard padding that was between the record sleeve and the envelope I found it in. I am also including several original promotional band photos that my father had made to be posted in clubs, some with the Spring Lake photographer stamp on the back. There is no photograph of singer Junior Dean; only T.A. Barber (drums), Stuart Sauls (guitar), Charlie Bell (bass), and David Morton (sax). Unknown pianist appears in photos. There are clips of the songs available from other posters on spotify, youtube, etc. I have one other copy, which I have played, but want to keep for myself.
