Rickey Andrews - Chances Are Your Dance Is Mine / You Are What My Heart Needs (Mars La Tour MLT 2090) VG/VG-
Massive Georgia Funk 45 on this obscure label out of the Atlanta suburb of Smyrna. Rickey Andrews was 2nd Tenor in The Fabulous Denos (Bad Girl, etc). When the group split, Rickey stayed in Atlanta and begun singing throughout the local club circuit. Without anyone looking to sign him to a solo deal, he ventured to Perfection Sound Studio and cut four songs. Two are represented on this Mars La Tour 45. The label was primarily a bluegrass label, but there are a few other soul titles, including the stupidly rare one by Arthur Willis (no, I don't have a copy of that one). Very few copies of this one have surfaced and it's unlikely that too many more ever will.
The Funky dancer A side is graded VG with some minor surface noise, but should still please the majority of DJs. The ballad on the flip is noisier, which you will hear in the sound file, and is thusly graded VG-.
