Richard Strauss Death and Transfiguration Rodzinski UK HMV ASD
On this record, the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Artur Rodzinski performs Richard Strauss’ "Tod und Verklarung", "Death and Transfiguration", "Dance Suite after Couperin" and "Dance of the 7 Veils". An English stereo pressing on the HMV Label (ASD 270), the labels are cream with plum lettering, gold stereophonic and border, a shaded dog logo and Made in Great Britain at 6 o’clock. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover laminate has become opaque and begun to lift along the spine edge and there is some creasing toward the right-hand side.
