Description

Reiner & The Chicago –
Respighi PINES OF ROME & FOUNTAINS OF ROME –
Rca LSC-2436 –
SD 16s/16s -
Recommended by TAS

Very decent copy of this rare Shaded Dog release from Reiner.

A classic audio capture by the Rca team of Mohr and Layton, this Respighi outing with Reiner at the helm of the Chicago has been acclaimed on the TAS list as one of the very finest classical recordings.

Cover of this copy is a little yellowed with age, has edge on the spine, and a splt up top that can easily be mended with tape. Within, the SD platter will play VG+ on side 1, VG+ and a little less on side 2 due to a mark.

Worthy of the finest vinyl library, and quite useful as a hi-fi demo.

For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
