Description
This is your chance to get ALL 5 Reference Recordings "Reference Mastercuts" series. Reference Mastercuts make available landmark analogue recordings of significant musical performances in no-compromise,NUMBERED, LP editions. Disc mastering facilities are chosen for the best possible sonic qualities, depending on nature of the program material and the format of the original tapes. Plating of the laquer's is done within a few hours of cutting, using a slow low-temperature bath to minimize adjacent-groove echo and loss of delicate high frequency information. #1(number 02618),is Ravel"Bolero", "Le Tombeau de Couperin", "Pavane pour une Infant defunte", and "Une barque sur l'ocean". played by Stanislaw Skrowaczewski and the Minnesota Orchestra. #2 (number 01750), is Rachmaninoff's 'Symphony # 2" played by Leonard slatkin and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. #3 (number 01533), isGershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue", "Second Rhapsody", "Variations on I Got Rhythm", played by Leonard Slatkin and the Saint Louis symphony Orchestra with jeffrey Siegel -piano. #4 (number 00804), is Ravel's "Ma Mere l'Oye",(Mother Goose -complete ballet), and Valses nobles et sentimentales", played by Stanislaw Skrowaczewski and the Minnesota Orchestra. #5 (number 01357), is Gershwin's "An American in Paris", "Promenade", "Catfish Row"(Suite from Porgy and Bess), and this is performed by Leonard Slatkin and the Saint Louis symphony Orchestra. All these were very famous recordings and performed in wonderful halls that were famous for there acoustics. They all were remastered by Doug Sax at the Mastering Lab and done in HQ-180 pressing. Originally all these were recorded by the engineering team of Joanna Nikrenz, and Matt J Aubort. All five of these recordings were mentioned highly in TAS(The Absolute sound), and some are on the best record list. All the records are SEALED, (because I have 2 copies.), and are perfect.
