Description
Red Garland (with John Coltrane, Donald Byrd, Arthur Taylor, Jamil Nasser) SOUL JUNCTION Prestige 7181, recorded 1957. Yellow and black deep groove mono pressing. “RVG” stamped into the wax. Glossy jacket is almost excellent on front, spine, and top edge. 3” split seam in middle of bottom, and a paper tear to the glossy wrap on bottom edge, and another tear to the liner paper nearby. Corners also have some wear. Jacket overall is E-. Disc looks NM- with only minor spin-hole traces, and it plays E/E-: noise floor is good, but we’re never free of some crackle. Thanks, Prestige… B side slightly better, but still crackles from time to time.
