Vinyl collector's edition of the LUC & Rebel Babel Film Orchestra album from the soundtrack to the film "Chłopi" - the Polish Oscar candidate!

The painted adaptation of "Peasants" became the Polish candidate for the Oscar, along with music composed by LUC, i.e. Łukasz Rostkowski and the Rebel Babel Film Orchestra.

Łukasz LUC Rostkowski, who became famous for many projects combining music with history in a modern way. His albums, performances and projects carried out with the Warsaw Uprising Museum, ECS, IPN, the Pilecki Institute and many other institutions in Poland and around the world create a new form of multimedia historical lessons for many generations, combining art with education, music with comics and animations.

LUC about the album:
The soundtrack to "Peasants" was created with traditional Polish sounds and authentic folk instruments. Just as Reymont created a beautiful, colorful verbal cathedral out of simple peasant language, as if from the baroque, musically we try to build beautiful film music based on the authentic sounds of folk instruments, compositions and traditional themes. Only the thinking here is modern
forms and arrangements. The most important thing, however, is that the project is a compendium of the most interesting folk music phenomena. We have involved many different musicians in the project who have been devoting themselves with great devotion to traditional music for years - Maria Pomianowska, Laboratorium Pieśni, Sutari, Dagadana, Tęgie Chłopy, Vyrij Choir, and they are supported by: Kayah, Julia Wieniawa, Ralph Kaminski, Lor, Apolonia Nowak , Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Kwiat Jabłoni and Bela Komoszyńska.

The project also featured musicians from Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus. All this as part of the international Rebel Babel Film Orchestra created by LUC in 2016. The Unlimited Orchestra of Orchestras has already connected over 11,000 musicians from 20 countries.
Folk and film compositions arranged for orchestras combined with paintings, animations and films presenting several years of work on this unique project constitute an unforgettable spectacle close to nature, just like the cult and Nobel Prize-winning novel by Władysław Reymont.

Just as Reymont built a baroque linguistic cathedral from simple words and sayings of peasants, LUC created rich and colorful film music using only authentic and acoustic historical instruments.
In the soundtrack to the film "Chłopi", LUC combines traditional melodies with a modern production form in an impressionistic way, based on looping and contemporary sound articulations of double-membrane drums or a tuba, which plays like a bass synthesizer.
The whole thing, in reference to the international nature of the production (the film was made in 4 Slavic countries), is a compendium of Slavic music created by almost 100 musicians from Poland, Ukraine and Belarus under the baton of Łukasz LUC Rostkowski.

This unique analog edition of the album with music for the film "Chłopi" was released in an unusual way, because it is a long play to a picture disc with folk cutouts on the entire vinyl disc.
The cutouts are also inside in a standard paper version - you can cut them out yourself.
