Description

Ray Jay and the Eastsiders "Roly Poly" original 1967 Cotique Records LP # C-1040  cut out Original first US pressing LP by the original Cotique Records of Hartford, CT before Fania bought them out and began re-issuing inferior pressings. High Quality vinyl, magnificent mono. Piano by the amazing Hilton Ruiz, Willie Melendez on bongo among others. Nice bio in the liners of the back cover.

Vinyl: near mint,    no spindle wear   I repeat my text from Condition Description above: I was good friends with Hilton Ruiz who gave me a copy of this LP sometime in the mid-1980s after he dedicated it to me. I played it 1 time to record it and then I put it away, it's been stored in my collection for over 25 years. This is a cut-out LP, when given his share of the LPs instead of writing or stamping PROMO on LP, Cotique would cut them out. Hilton had 2 or 3 other copies left when he gave me this one.

LP jacket has no seam separation, the top, side and bottom edges have  some very minimal wear. corners have a bit of wear. Front cover has a little rob wear near the top.  Back cover shows very slight rub wear at top and bottom.  Front cover has dedication to me written by Hilton with a blue sharpie. Jacket has 2 small cut out holes on the upper left and 1 small cut out hole on lower left. Front cover scene was photographed at Coney Island photos seen were taken with my cell camera, not the highest resolution, it's the actual LP

As a life long record collector, I protect and pack records very well before shipping using a traditional cardboard LP mailer
