This is a rare box set recorded on April 14, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts at Symphony Hall with Serge Koussevitzky conducting. There were two releases under two labels of Bolero during this period, and this is the recording from Take 1A. Based on visual inspection, this album should may with minimal surface noise. The shellac was some very minor cosmetic wear (under strong LED lighting) with spindle wear and should play VG+. The box set has more wear with shelf rub and grime, rounding of corners, and spine damage at the top. The inner sleeves are in very good condition with no splitting and solid binding to spine. The added information on the last page is very well preserved for a box set of almost 100 years.

Please note: Due to inquiries, I do not have a record player that can play 78rpm. The rating is based on visual inspection under strong LED lighting and past experience. The records are in extraordinary condition for 78s nearing 90 years old. Personally, if this was going in my collection, I'd buy for the records and look for a higher graded cover (those can usually be bought rather cheaply when found.)
