Description
I have up for auction a record(One Sided 12" 78) on a unusual and probably quite rare light and dark blue Melotone Recording Studio label. It is by Florence Foster Jenkins accompanied by piano(I think the name of the pianist begins with Cosme McMoo...and the rest of the name has been torn off on label). Title of the practice session is "Bell Song from the opera Lakme"(Delibes). At the beginning it is just her going through some warm up vocalizations then they begin with the song and piano. It does not sound great as she sometimes sounds like she is making an error or perhaps flat at times. Most interesting! The record is in very good plus condition, hardly any wear(of course, since it is a demo type record), and scuffs and scratches are very few(if any), light andsurface variety. Surface still fairly shiny and clean. Quite a unique collectible!
