Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Mode MONO DG LP 102 - released 1957
Absolutely pristine this LP appears to have never been played or handled. LPs from this era were not customarily sealed in cellophane or plastic as later became the norm. Consequently, while unsealed this deep groove LP is as close to mint as you're likely to find! No spindle marks, high gloss and sheen; honestly looks brand new. Play tested once on high end equipment the sound is extraordinary; clear and vibrant. The laminated cover has light shelf wear and the rear panel has a small adhesive spot upper right corner. Otherwise excellent.
