Description
Well, here’s something you certainly don’t see every day: A nice pressing of the first FLAMING LIPS EP on Lovely Sorts of Death Records. It was used when I bought it back in 1988, so unlike all of the other Flaming Lips records I’m selling, I am not the original owner of this, so I don’t know if the little “A†and “B†on the labels were written by the label or the person who owned it before me. This is in pretty damn good shape – since the Pink Dust reissue of this record was already out when I bought this, I never actually played it – I just wanted to own it because it was already very hard to come by in the late 80’s… never mind now! This is the second LSD Records pressing, the red wax is incredible, SO RED like a pure pantone PS35 red, but it’s still see through, pretty unusual, AND one of only 500 ever made. The insert (which measures 101/2†x 11 inches) is also original. The only problem is that the lower right hand corner is “dog eared†but like I said, I’m not the first owner and unfortunately not everyone takes as good a care of their records as I do. Rest assured, since I got a hold of it’s received the tender loving care it deserves – in fact it hasn’t been out of its bag for 18 years until I took these pictures.
