I recently acquired a collection of records from a former radio station employee. in this collection were five 7" original '56 U.S. Promotional EPs on grey RCA VICTOR promo Labels set #SPD-19, each one came in a nice early RCA Victor sleeve with NO splits. All playing surfaces are beautiful, they look near pristine, labels would be pristine if not for a few small numbers in pen on each. This rare promotional set came out in 1956 as a box set with 8 eps and a 4 page booklet called: SOUND OF LEADERSHIP. The set is very sought after because Elvis does HEARTBREAK HOTEL on side 16, it is one of his very earliest sessions for RCA. Other artists do one song as well, a few of them are: CARUSO, COMO, ARTIE SHAW, EDDIE FISHER, GLENN MILLER, PEE WEE KING, TOMMY DORSEY, and others. The EP with Elvis has side 1 on one side and side 16 the other. This EP has a 1s/1s pressing stamped in trail off. Also has extremely glossy vinyl with NO groove wear, scratches, defects, warps, etc. Only under very close inspection did I see one or two extremely light surface scuffs that do not affect play. Labels have NO spindle hole wear, stickers, stains, fading, etc. I noticed only a hint of wear, the other 4 eps are in the same wonderful condition except for just a few faint wear areas on one or two labels. Playing surfaces are beautiful with NO problems. and all have the same 1/s1s pressing. I will try to locate the booklet and other 3 eps, however, it is the Ep with side 16 of Elvis presley doing heartbreak hotel that makes this set so very sought after by Elvis collectors.Glad I could make it available in this CONDITION: 5 EPS NM to NM - - .
