Up for auction this afternoon is an original first pressing of the impressively scarce ROOSTER BLUES by Lightnin' Slim on Excello, reference #8000.

Original orange EXCELLO label with navy blue/black print.

Rare MONO pressing, much more scarce than "Electronically Rechannelled Stereo" pressing.

This is the FLAT EDGE pressing, not the tapered. just look at any coin in your pocket for example.

This is the real deal, an authentic US first pressing, NOT a re-issue or an import or a counterfeit!



Original GLOSSY slightly laminated factory jacket.

Clean, writing free labels, TINY area of color loss on side 1 (see image).

A rather thick heavy vinyl pressing.

The images in this auction are the album being auctioned, these are not recycled images of another album.

I took these images personally.



There is a small area of sleeve separation along bottom, right side at opening, 1" long.

Also bottom left corner shows some dog-ear, not excessive but worth mentioning.



Good sheen to the playing surface, some slight spindle wear.

Of the 2 albums, this one is in superior condition to BELL RINGER, both sides are VG+ and play well, I cautiously cleaned this and was rewarded with a great listening experience.

Who or WHAT is "Sheldon"? This name is carefully embossed into the trail-off groove, it's stamped on both sides, I tried to get a clear image of it but it's super small and hard to photograph.

I have been shipping albums INTERNATIONALLY since 1974, I never ship with the LP inside the sleeve, I use multiple layers of corrugated material to give my albums a serious chance at surviving ANYTHING the postal service can throw at us.

I happily combine shipping of multiple items!
