Rare Gospel Bluegrass ERNEST MARTIN Butler 409 E-. Condition is "Used".


PERILOUS TIMES 409-A / GABRIEL BLOW YOUR TRUMPET 409-B

This is extremely rare, early 1950’s record by Ernest Martin The Gospel Singer and his Kentucky Mountain Boys - Roy McQueen, Wade Gentry, and Jesse Martin. Found it in a country radio DJ’s sale. I live in Ohio and collect Ohio labels and didn’t know about Butler Records out of Hamilton, Ohio.

Record is V+ to E- mostly latter with light and whispy surface marks with plenty of shine, see pics. Audio is loud, clear and distinct over very light background. Great player! Excellent “roots” Bluegrass Gospel!

I have been collecting, trading and selling 78’s for years. I package and ship them sandwiched between cardboard and padded/floated with peanuts or newsprint in a much larger box.
