F.B.I. - Funky Bands Incorporated
LP on Label Good Earth GDS 802 original UK from 1976. Funky Bands Incorporated was formed in 1974 and led by lead vocalists Root Jackson and Bonnie Wilkerson. The 9 piece outfit played consistenly in collage, club and bar circuits on through 1978. This album, their lone offering never reached it's true potential due to poor marketing and promotion. The album became an underground classic over the years and has said to have been highly sought after in it's original vinyl format. For some people it is the Holy Grail of UK's Funk scene from the 70's.
