Wanda Davis - Save Me/Take Care (Project Soul) VG
Well. Ok. So a VG++ copy of this just sold for £800. 'Kinell! This one needs some explaining so here we go. The record has a pretty ugly scratch on the 'better' side (that'll be 'Save Me', though some would disagree ;-) which produces a click/noise for almost the duration of the track. In parts the noise is obscured by the music, in others it comes through. The soundclip gives an accurate demonstration of just how much interference there is. The flip grades around VG++. Legend has it there are but a handful of these in existence. How big a handful represents is somewhat open to interpretation. Hell, the godsquad reckon 'He's got the whole world in his hands', which would imply quite a few copies of ol' Wanda's effort could fit snuggly within His palms...(or psalms, sorry)...maybe that's where they all are. Who knows. Your chance to get this record without selling your nuts to the man of jazz. Probably quite suitable for Djing. Either that or buy Midwest Funk.
