Hans Frisch - Levende Opjekten Sjooo  (Purple Elephant LPE 691, Netherlands, 1969)

Very rare and very experimental lp by Dutch artist Hans Frisch who created the Levende Opjekten Sjooo (Living Objects Show) to bridge the gap between art and entertainment, between artist and audience. From the text on the back cover: “An lp full of improvised music by artists from an electronic era. Music of whistles, rattles, drums, garden hoses; in short, everything that produces sound”.

The live shows contained a lot of nudity and were consequently banned throughout the entire country. This record initially came with some inserts and photographs of the live shows but a lot of these were confiscated by the police. Unfortunately the copy I offer for sale here therefore comes without the inserts or photographs.

Condition of the vinyl (play graded): VG+  (vinyl shows some light scuffs and hairlines, some light surface noise in a few places)

Condition of the cover: VG+  (some tape residue along side. The cover consists of two separate sheets)
