Description
I would think that this would be a fairly rare record, which was bought by my husband when he was on R&R leave in Taiwan in 1968, during his tour of duty in Vietnam. It is probably one of the earliest pirated records and no attempt has been made to make it look like the original, in fact Cliff looks a bit Asian in this photo. This record is about the only one my husband bought by a British artist - all the others are American acts. They were no doubt produced to sell to the US troops who flooded into the area during the war. The cover of the record is made of a thin cardboard, which is wrapped inside and out with an equally thin loose plastic. There are a couple of minor holes in the plastic and some age marks on the cardboard. The vinyl is orange and there are a few scratches on the surface, so I'm not sure how well it would play and I can't vouch for the sound quality. Some diehard Cliff Richard fan might like it as a quirky rarity for their collection.
