Check out my auctions this week for a bunch of high end psych LPs! Here is an original pressing of one of the rarest major label psych albums out there. This is by a band called Christopher, on the Metromedia label, number MD 1024. The story goes that partway through the recording sessions, the band was falling apart due to drug and alcohol problems. The album was finished using session musicians, but then the record company informed the band they were not going to release the album. However, some copies did get out... and members of the band didn’t even know until the 1990s that it even had been released! As for this copy, the vinyl grades VG. It plays with some noise from time to time, though I must say whoever mastered this LP did an excellent job. The sound still “jumps” out of the speakers. The cover shows rub and seam wear. The seam is split along the top edge, and at the bottom center as well. There is a small “for demonstration only” sticker on the cover. Very rare and hard to find album!!
