Description
This is a promotional copy of Buddy Holly and the Chirping Crickets LP that I won on a local television dance show from Evansville, Ind. back in the 50's. Like most teenagers at the time I wrote my name on the upper right hand corner front cover. SAMPLE COPY NOT FOR SALE appears on the back of cover and the pictures show the rubbed places on back cover. This is the Brunswick BL 54038 LP and is the first pressing. The first pressing appears on the record itself and there is nothing to note it is a promotional copy on the record. The label on the record is what I would call perfect. There are some rubs and light scratches on the record but it plays through with no skips or scratchy sounds. The record itself is also quite shiney. The cover has a 3 1/2" split on the bottom which is pictured. The top right corner a 1" split, bottom right corner a 1/4" split and on the spine at the very bottom about 1/2" of the label is missing. I have held onto this album for 50 years and now it's time for someone else to enjoy it. Please email me with any questions or if you need additional photographs
